Sam Levy is a painter whose work is rooted in drawing, memory, and direct perceptual experience.

Sam has spent significant time working in the landscape, including the Colorado Rocky Mountains, Montana, and upstate New York. He participated in the Jentel Artist Residency, WY, in 2015. In 2023, Sam was awarded a Hohenberg Travel Grant to study ancient frescoes in Pompeii, Italy.

Currently, Sam teaches drawing and painting at the New York Studio School and the Fashion Institute of Technology (SUNY) in New York City.
