Sam Levy

Sam Levy is a painter living and working in Brooklyn, NY. His work is about direct perceptual experience. 

Sam has spent significant time working in the landscape including the Colorado Rocky Mountains, Montana, and upstate New York. He participated in the Jentel Artist Residency in 2015. In 2023, Sam was awarded a Hohenberg Travel Grant to study ancient frescoes in Italy.

Sam teaches drawing and painting at the New York Studio School and the Fashion Institute of Technology (SUNY) in New York City.
